Libraire du Centre - A large bookstore in Ottawa, Canada for French language educational materials. We have purchased computer games, videos, books, and workbooks from this store.

Accelerated Integrated Method - A program for teaching French that is becoming very popular in Canada. This method has been adopted by the Ottawa School Board for all of its core French programs.

Global Child - This organization provides teaching tools in French and Spanish and trains teachers.

BBC Language course for children - also known as Muzzy. Language programs in French, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese.

Usborne language books - Good illustrated dictionaries. The French Club has donated some of these books to the Ray School library.

Annie Brocoli - Fun, catchy French songs for kids, also some videos.

InFrench.com - Great on-line store for French books, games, movies and teaching materials

Professor Toto Language Education Series - Multi-media language kits for French, Spanish, Italian or German.

Club Soleil - Based in the UK, provides French workbooks, on-line lessons for members, and materials for creating your own French club.

Canadian Parents for French - This is an organization that promotes French language education in Canada. They have an excellent web site, with lots of useful reference material. We strongly encourage you to join this organization.

National Network of Early Language Learning

Rassias Foundation - An institution for teaching language using innovative and dynamic methods, based right here in Hanover. Their Community Programs offer inexpensive language training courses for the general public.

One World Language School - A language school in NH that offers intensive, immersion classes and camps in French, German, Spanish, and Chinese designed specifically for children ages 3-14 years old. For information, please contact j.juliereece@comcast.net

Concordia Language Villages - A world language and culture education summer program for young people, ages seven to 18. Programs in any of 15 languages, including French.

Cultural Services of the French Embassy - Includes schools with French Immersion, French school, as well as other resources, for teaching and for culture.

Normandale Elementary French Immersion School - Kindergarten to Grade 5 school in Edina, Minnesota.

Research

Professor Laura-Ann Petitto - She is the Chairman of the Department of Education at Dartmouth College. Her web site provides links to her research on language learning and bilingualism.

BILING: Forum for Discussion of Research on Bilingualism and Bilingual Education - On-line forum where researchers discuss issues about immersion, second language education, and bilingualism. It is a mix of conference information, calls for papers, and genuinely interesting discussion about the issues.
