Semolina Deli Field Trip
May 3, 2005
Semolina is a delicatessen and market near the Ray School. In May, with the warmer weather, the French Club walked over to enjoy a great café experience. Our host (and retired French teacher), Andy Lory, greeted us at the door with his nametag: "Bonjour, je m'appelle André. Comment vous appelez-vous?" Throughout the store, vocabulary words were posted on signs so that students could see all the French words. Andy talked to us about French cooking and cafés, and then offered us some great French snacks. The students enjoyed a selection of cheeses with warm baguette, and some steaming hot chocolate.

Thanks again to the Lory family and Semolina for hosting our trip. |
