French Club Usborne Book Fair
The French Club has sponsored two Usborne Book Fairs, in November 2004 and May 2004. A percentage of the total sales was used to make contributions to the Ray School Library.
Thanks to orders from parents in the French Club, we have been able to donate $200 worth of books to the library. They are listed below:
- Usborne Book of Everyday Words in French
- First Hundred Words in French
- Usborne Picture Dictionary in French
- Essential French Dictionary
- French Dictionary for Beginners
- First Thousand Words in Japanese
- Usborne Picture Dictionary in Spanish
- Usborne Picture Dictionary in English
- Usborne Picture Dictionary in German
- Usborne French Songbook
- First Thousand Words in Hebrew
They can be found in the library in the language section (call numbers around 440).
Usborne offers a variety of excellent French and other world language books that appeal to many ages. Certain books offer internet-linked (IL) resources that take the reader further into a subject, adding new dimensions of information and entertainment.
If you would like to read more about each book or browse through the wide range of books that can also be ordered, please go to the Usborne website. The French books (and other language books) can be found here.
Thanks to Kelley Bucciero, Ray School parent, for managing the book fair, and for her helpful advice as former coordinator of the Moharimet French Club in Madbury, NH.
